Let’s support optometry on the big screen
Optometrists aren’t just making a difference in the practice room – they’re making waves in cinemas too.
Optometry Victoria South Australia (OV/SA) is a not-for-profit organisation that exists for the benefit of community eye health and optometry in Victoria and South Australia.
We help our members to advance clinical expertise and refresh their professional curiosity. We maintain an active conversation with relevant decision-makers across the South Australian and Victorian state governments, representing the evolving needs of our members and fostering the advancement of eye health and optometry through advocacy and legislative channels.
Everything we do is guided by our diverse, vibrant membership of the vast majority of optometrists practising across South Australia and Victoria.
State Leads Isaac Curkpatrick (Vic) and Cassandra Haines (SA)
Our local initiatives are driven by our members through consultation and participation in our Board and committees. Our focus is articulated in OV/SA’s strategic plan, and we cooperate with national initiatives through Optometry Australia. Our primary method of communicating with our members is via email, but if members prefer to receive meeting documents in the post, they can let us know by contacting our office using the details below.
All practising optometrists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and are required to comply with the Ahpra Code of Conduct.
OV/SA members are also bound by Optometry Victoria South Australia’s Code of Ethics which are to:
